Kick-Stand Up for Kids

Bike tour + fundraiser benefiting Mount St. Vincent Home
Summary
In 2014, we came to the realization that learning how to ride a bike was one of the first instances of self-empowerment and determination we’d ever experienced as a youth. We concluded that everybody, especially children, deserves an opportunity to experience this. This promoted the creation, organization, and implementation of “Kick Stand Up for Kids”- an event aimed at raising donations and awareness for kids living at Mount St. Vincent Home: a residential treatment center for at-risk youth in Denver. A key component of their curriculum is outfitting every child who comes to live at the agency with a bicycle, which is then theirs to keep. The event was an 8-day, 500 mile, unassisted bike ride Mike and his best friend made from Moab to Denver. Due to the overwhelming generosity of our community, the event successfully raised over $20,000 and supplemented the program for five years.

Summary
Modern Horsemanship is one of our favorite types of clients. Excited, motivated, mission-driven, and eager to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. An important aspect of the website for the client was ensuring that their mission and value proposition permeated the entirety of the site. Through a couple of preliminary branding exercises, we were able to nail their mission statement, core values, and unique value proposition. From there, the imagery, messaging, and overall “feel” of the site flowed effortlessly.
